As some of you may have noticed, there have been some changes at Amazing Cave.
Firstly, we’re very pleased to announce that as of today we have opened a second shop located within the fantastic place that is The Nichols Building. In conjunction with Cotton Antiques and based close to the Kelham Island area, the main focus of stock is high end antique furniture combined with country pursuits and dressing. Below are the details of the location and opening hours. Get yourself down for a look, the Nichols Building is full of awesome stuff.
AMAZING CAVE @ The Nichols Building

So news time. We’ve been proper busy the last month down at the Cave and out and about at markets. Which will explain why we may have been closed here and there. Apologies for any of you that came down and that was the case.
If you have been down you’ll have noticed the shop is in a transitionary phase. Some decorating going on, bit of build work but most importantly loads of new, and quite frankly amazing stock has been arriving. We’ve got a bunch of awesome vintage guitars in, with more on the way. As far as the curios and oddities go some of the taxidermy we have in at the moment is quite simply stunning.
Here’s a few photos to give you a taste of what we’re currently so excited about!
After staying up all night to watch the American elections results come in, it now seems safe to post some pics of the best bits of Americana we have in down at the cave. That’s is to say, after that spanking, Romney is in no position to come after me for shipping over the equivalent of the American crown jewels………. exaggerate you say???? Moi? Never
Just take a god damn cotton picking cheese burger chilli dog eating minute, and check these out:
So, I picked up this stunning Tawny Owl this morning. It’s by the highly regarded taxidermist Graham Teasdale. It also has one of his rare signatures in the form of a small wooden carving of a bearded man set amidst the foliage.
Turns out the chap I picked him up of is not only into taxidermy, but also vintage guitars. Safe to say we shall be doing some business. Amongst his collection he had the best raven I have ever seen. He’s not parting with, but I’m hoping to persuade him. Watch this space……..
