Christmas Stock and More

Hey all,

So news time. We’ve been proper busy the last month down at the Cave and out and about at markets. Which will explain why we may have been closed here and there. Apologies for any of you that came down and that was the case.

If you have been down you’ll have noticed the shop is in a transitionary phase. Some decorating going on, bit of build work but most importantly loads of new, and quite frankly amazing stock has been arriving. We’ve got a bunch of awesome vintage guitars in, with more on the way. As far as the curios and oddities go some of the taxidermy we have in at the moment is quite simply stunning.

Here’s a few photos to give you a taste of what we’re currently so excited about!

Ameribama/Americana

After staying up all night to watch the American elections results come in, it now seems safe to post some pics of the best bits of Americana we have in down at the cave. That’s is to say, after that spanking, Romney is in no position to come after me for shipping over the equivalent of the American crown jewels………. exaggerate you say???? Moi? Never

Just take a god damn cotton picking cheese burger chilli dog eating minute, and check these out:

Work Has Begun

Work has started on the front of the shop. Vintage (sure the insurance company will love that) style security grills being fitted up.

Painting to be done tomorrow, and hand painted signs by end of the week.

Plus, a bunch of cool shit arriving. Including a very nice boars head!!!

Tawny Owl

Tawny Owl

So, I picked up this stunning Tawny Owl this morning. It’s by the highly regarded taxidermist Graham Teasdale. It also has one of his rare signatures in the form of a small wooden carving of a bearded man set amidst the foliage.

Turns out the chap I picked him up of is not only into taxidermy, but also vintage guitars. Safe to say we shall be doing some business. Amongst his collection he had the best raven I have ever seen. He’s not parting with, but I’m hoping to persuade him. Watch this space……..

Some Silver Sir?

Was out at the markets early doors. Before the sun had risen these little beauty’s caught my eye. Solid silver lid for your Hendo’s? I bloody well think so!
